Auckland Weekend Markets

Whether you want coffee and a pastry, fresh produce, or a full food crawl, there’s a market for it. Some are polished, some are pure chaos, but honestly, that’s part of the fun.

Saturday

  • πŸ•’ Saturday, 6:00am to 12:00pm
    πŸ“ Ōtara Town Centre
    πŸ”— https://otaramarkets.co.nz

One of the most iconic markets in Auckland. This is less boutique, and more a full on market experience. Expect incredible local & Pacific eats, fresh produce at great prices, and everything from clothing to music. Come hungry.

  • πŸ•’ Saturday, from 8:00am
πŸ“ Te Ara Tahuhu Walkway, Britomart
    πŸ”— https://britomart.org

Small but well-curated. Think flowers, artisan goods, pastries and coffee in the middle of Auckland CBD. Easy, central, and good for a quick wander rather than a full morning mission.
Sat morning Coffee + Pastry kind of vibe.

  • πŸ•’ Saturday & Sunday, 8:30am to 2:00pm
    πŸ“ Hobsonville Point
    πŸ”— https://catalinabayfarmersmarket.co.nz

One of the more polished markets. Set in a waterfront precinct with a strong food focus. Ideal for brunch-style grazing and a wander.

Sunday

  • πŸ•’ Sunday, 5:00am to 12:00pm
    πŸ“ Avondale Racecourse
    πŸ”— https://avondalesundaymarkets.co.nz

One of the biggest markets in Auckland. A proper mix of produce, street food, second-hand goods and everything in between. Go early for the best food. This is where you go for pork buns, fresh fruit & Veg, Seafood and a proper roam.

  • πŸ•’ Sunday, approx. 7:00am to 12:00pm
    πŸ“ Waiwharariki Anzac Square
    πŸ”— https://takapunamarket.co.nz

A solid all-rounder near the beach. Fresh produce, flowers, artisan goods and growing number of food stalls. Easy, relaxed, and great to pair with a walk along Takapuna Beach. I love the doggo watching at these Markets.

  • πŸ•’ Sunday, 8:30am to 12:00pm
    πŸ“ 510 Richmond Road
    πŸ”— https://greylynnfarmersmarket.co.nz

Smaller, local and produce-driven. This is more farmers market than food market. Great for organic veg, pantry goods and a low-key Sunday morning.

  • πŸ•’ Sunday, 8:30am to 1:00pm
    πŸ“ Clevedon Showgrounds
    πŸ”— https://clevedonfarmersmarket.co.nz

Worth the drive. A proper country market with seasonal produce, great coffee, and plenty of ready-to-eat food. Feels like a Sunday outing rather than just a quick stop.

  • πŸ•’ Saturday & Sunday, 8:30am to 2:00pm
    πŸ“ Hobsonville Point
    πŸ”— https://catalinabayfarmersmarket.co.nz

One of the more polished markets. Set in a waterfront precinct with a strong food focus. Ideal for brunch-style grazing and a wander.

  • πŸ•’ Sunday, approx. 8:00am to 2:00pm
    πŸ“ Māngere Bridge Village
    πŸ”— Mangere Bridge Market FB

Smaller and more community-focused. A mix of crafts, local goods and food stalls.

  • πŸ•’ Sunday, approx. 9:00am to 3:00pm
    πŸ“ Smales Farm, Takapuna
    πŸ”— https://smalesfarm.co.nz

Artisan stalls, food trucks and a bit more of a curated feel.

  • πŸ•’ Sunday, approx. 7:00am to 12:00pm
    πŸ“ Browns Bay

A classic second-hand and bric-a-brac style market. Less about food, more about browsing and bargain hunting

  • πŸ•’ First Sunday of every month
    πŸ“ Coatesville
    πŸ”— https://coatesvillemarket.co.nz

A boutique-style market with food trucks, crafts and live music. Very much a β€œmake a morning of it” kind of outing.
